I love to take risks!. My Life has been full of Ups and Downs and with so much info available online about various things you are bound to try and Fail. I tell you what, its good to Fail, only then you get real experience. Fail often but Fail Fast, your time is limited too. The experience which has not only improved but is also something which you can share with others and help them too as well.
You must have gone through all those bajillion squillion great reviews about how to choose your niche, which theme to use, which hosting to go for and all kind of plugins you need for your blog to stand out from the crowd, slip slop slap wrap blah blah. F**K Them!
There was a time I used to follow some Blogs religiously and would try whatever they say, but it was all Bullshit. After wasting hundreds of Dollars on those products and failing several times I have finally found my path. See, If you are going to make all those mistakes again and again yourself just for the sake of learning , this life will be short for you. Try learning from others mistakes too to shorten your path to success , you do not have to go ahead and make all those stupid mistakes yourselves, No Please don’t do that.
I am writing this post to demystify some of the Myths and since I have tried it myself I have the facts to share. Yes, I have finally moved to genesis Framework and there are some solid reasons behind it.
People who have been following this Blog would have noticed some rapid changes , as I have been changing my theme almost every other day. Hope it was Just one theme I could have easily written an Article comparing my Previous theme with Genesis but that’s not the case so I will tell you my reasons why I moved to Genesis finally and why I am loving it.
I was going insanely Mad due to all those performance and compatibility issues other themes had with some of my Plugins. And top of that I have wasted so much time which I could have used for writing valuable content for my readers which hurts me the most. That is why I say F**k all use Genesis.
If you are not using Google Webmaster Tools then you should surely start doing it ASAP. However what I want to share here is an interesting thing which made me write this post. First time in the history of this website I have “Zero” Errors.
F**k Ya ! I am so happy. I always knew the importance of Schema because this is something which describes your website to Search Engines. It is now that google is actually picking correct information about my website and I am seeing gradual increase in website traffic day by day.
2. Website Loading Speed
And Pingdom says my website is faster than 80% of other websites.
and this is from Website Grader
And the best part is I have done just one change and that is moving to Genesis, no image compression , no code optimization, nothing. I am testing and yet to finalize a good plugin for automatic image compression else this score would have been much higher , but no issues. I hope you got the message. Just Remember Genesis means Speed.
4. Mobile Compatibility
This is also one of the important ranking factor officially accepted by Google. With Genesis you do not need to do anything for making it Mobile Responsive.
I have discussed about this in more detail in the following article. Without a Mobile Friendly Website SEO Efforts are Waste
5. Modification Compatibility
Genesis themes come with the most comprehensive documentation and are the easiest to optimize and update, simply because they use the most efficient code. It also has the biggest support community available online. When People like Neil Patel, Amy Porterfield, Ana Hoffman etc are using Genesis then there is no doubt left.
6. Update without loss
Genesis works on the child theme concept and no matter how much you play with it the back end framework stays Hard and Steady as Rock. Child themes are like layers that sit on top of the main framework to make your site look different. Instead of making changes to the framework itself, all customizations are made to the child theme.
7. What You Can Think You Can Do.
Genesis is not drag and drop but it can do anything. Want to add a widget to the bottom of each blog post? No problem! Want to put a slider on your homepage? You can do that, too. Absolutely anything you can see can be moved, changed, deleted, or reconfigured so that your site does exactly what you want. You can choose a different sidebar layout for different pages and posts, create new sidebars for different parts of your site, or even make a homepage full of nothing but widget areas where you can drag and drop content. Its all very simple.
Once you know the framework you know it for ever. Even though some child themes have different features than others, Genesis always works the same way. You don’t have to start learning all over again every time you buy a new child theme – once you get used to the way things are configured, you’re good to go.
The Best Part is you do not need to be a designer or developer to benefit from all these features.
